Pacific City- Great people, Small waves

After leaving Neils house in Seaside Oregon we headed south on some scenic route to the dairy town of Tillamook.  Once there we camed at a little campground right outside of town.  We were very excited to hit the factory bright and early. amd when we got there we were very impressed with the cheese making process. However, we were all very dissapointed by the size of ice cream scoops in the gift shop.  How are they gonna skimp you at the factory where they make the ice cream??

Then we headed west towards the coast on the Three Capes scenic route.  It was a little bit longer, but everybody told us it was much safer and a lot prettier too.  Then we rolled into Pacific City as recommened by Samm in Westport.  He told us stories of nice waves but since getting here it has been completely flat.  We did get a chance though to hike around on the beach and the weather was awesome.  As for our sleeping arrangements we again found another host on Warmshowers.org.   We love having a place to shower, sleep, and just relax without the hassle of camping. Besides, you meet some pretty rad people with unbelievable hospitality. Meeting people has become our favorite part of this trip.

Today we got up and checked the ocean which had sloppy surf so were all up doing our morning ritual of packing, showering, breakfast, coffee, and trying to write something intriguing for people to read. Our sights are set on the beautiful (so we've been told) city of Newport, Oregon where we will meet up with Sean's friend to hopefully get some more wave rippin in. We hope the surf gods grant this request.
